The applicant will provide nursing services including but not limited to taking the medical history of patients and assisting the physician during the examination. In addition, the candidate will explain the medical procedures to the patient, call pharmacies for prescription, collect samples for lab testing, vital signs monitoring, preventive healthcare, disease specific goals, action plan, healthcare proxy, and health education and injections. Candidate should have a minimum of (1) one year experience heavily concentrated in the mental health field within the past (5) five-years, preferably. Work requires familiarity with procedures and policies relating to all aspects of nursing care. Additionally, experience in the mental health and substance abuse arena is preferred. Previous experience in discharge planning, utilization review, case management, or similar role desirable. Certified to give injections.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselors Provide rehabilitation services which includes group therapy, social rehabilitation, basic living skills, individual supportive counseling, and therapeutic care services within the role recovery framework. Maintain records in compliance with all required standards. Work as part of a clinical team. Transport persons served as necessary and maintain Henderson vehicle/property. Counselors must have a bachelor’s degree from accredited university in related field. One-year experience in mental health setting preferred. Knowledge of treatment of mental health disorders, abuse regulations, patient rights, and crisis intervention.

This position requires that the candidate possess a Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. The candidate must possess strong customer service skills, a high level of interpersonal relation skills (verbal and written), and strong computer literacy in all Microsoft Office Software. Candidate should be a team player and be able to display flexibility in adapting to changing conditions. Human Services field experience preferred: including any experience in medical mental health office practice, and/or experience working with persons experiencing disabilities, homelessness, or a serious mental health diagnosis. This position requires a master’s in counseling, Marriage & Family, or Social Work. Licensed preferred. Minimum two (2) years related work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting. Some supervisory experience preferred. Experience and/or ability to work with electronic medical records is required. Have working knowledge of the American Psychological Association’s current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, mental illness, its etiology, and its treatment; of human behavior and of supportive counseling and active listening techniques; the principles and practices of mental health counseling and crisis intervention; of behavioral management; experience with Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, CBT; the Florida Mental Health Act, and local resources. Considerable Knowledge of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses as well as signs and symptoms of substance abuse issues. Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) a plus, but not required.

Successful candidate will need to be resourceful and adaptable as a therapist, have knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies.

Knowledge of Florida highway and safety laws; Inspection Procedures; and be able to operate all size commercial vehicles. This is a direct service position. This service is designed to meet the specific behavioral health needs of those seeking services. The assessment clinician provides assessments for new and existing participants. Services are provided with a recovery-oriented system of care approach and are delivered through intensive time-limited, goal specific interventions. The assessment clinician provides the following services consistent with HBH’s policies and or are defined in Chapter 394, Florida’s Mental Health Act (aka The Baker Act): triage services, thorough participants with primary or secondary mental health problems (who may also have substance abuse and chemical dependence problems, disabilities, psychosocial, or medical problems) and all associated paperwork. The incumbent may provide other outpatient services, such a psychoeducation and therapy which have different procedural standards, but for which competent clinical skills and high standards will be used. The incumbent procures the authorizations for treatment and maintains them. Work is performed in a professional fast-paces environment. Candidate is required to have a minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education or related field. Licensed in the state of Florida, as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in social services or related field One year of life and work experiences working with adults, preferable with mental illnesses. Knowledge of job development and counseling techniques. Responsible for procurement and maintenance of community-based employment for SE members: including marketing of program to community employers, providing support to members on and off the job site, service coordination and communication between members of the Treatment Team, the Social Security Administration, and the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
