Must have experience in recovery from either mental illness or substance abuse by being a past recipient of public or private behavioral care services. Experience with individuals with mental illness or similar human-services needs, or other applicable experience desired. Previous experience in advocacy or similar role desirable. Experience with computer technology (using a computer & PC software to support activities; Windows based programs, e-mail, especially Microsoft Office applications, keyboarding skills, printer, calculator, fax machine, MFP, copier) and other office tools efficiently in order to meet performance goals is necessary to the position.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. In recovery of a mental health and/or substance abuse condition. Work experience with adults with mental health issues, substance abuse issues or with individuals with similar human-service’s needs a plus. The member of the team may have responsibility to assist the team in carrying out rehabilitation and support functions, including education, support and consultation to individual and/or families. This position serves as an advocate providing peer support services and information a variety of settings. Participates in the provision of rehabilitative services to those we serve by providing practical help and supports, advocacy, coordination, side-by-side individualized support, problem solving, direct assistance, and training. Candidate must have a clear active State of Florida Driver’s License.

Previous experience of homelessness is preferred. Position provides peer support services to clients served by Henderson’s Residential Treatment Facilities. All work will be informed by the core principles of the evidence-based practice BBHC, which is a recovery-oriented approach that centers on quickly moving people into independent and permanent housing and then providing additional supports and services as needed. The APRN position requires a clear and active license in the State of Florida. APRN, in conjunction with the Psychiatrist and under their protocol, has clinical responsibility for the client’s treatment and staff’s delivery of clinical services. The psychiatrist has overall clinical responsibility for the client’s treatment and staff’s delivery of clinical services. The psychiatrist is responsible and provides direct psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and discharge planning for consumers; provide consultation, as needed to other mental health professionals by clinical supervision; education and training; and development, maintenance and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures. Additionally, the psychiatrist provides oversight to staff APRN as dictated in protocol. Services are provided in accordance with accepted standards of professional practice and policies and procedures of HBH while assuring that the unit operates within the guidelines established by the Agency for Health Care Administration, CARF, Department of Children and Families and in a manner that is consistent with HBH mission, vision, and values. Additionally, assures that facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws. This is a 100% direct service position that requires availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends; as well as on-call duties. M.D. or D.O., Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida. Valid DEA license. Maintain Florida state license in good standing. Four (4) years or more of ACGME approved psychiatry residency program successfully completed.

approved supervision course. At least five years working with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or cooccurring disorders in a rehabilitation setting. Some supervisory experience preferred. Experience and/or ability to work with electronic medical records is required. AHCA approved Mental Health Targeted Case Management Training, certification must be obtained within 180 days after hire. Currently, must obtain certification from the Florida Certification Board as a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager Supervisor (CBHCMS) within 15 months of hire. The position provides overall team leadership, direction, and accountability for quality clinical and case management services. Monitors timely and accurate documentation of services and ensures services are provided through a multidisciplinary team person-centered approach.
