Adult Outpatient & Psychosocial Rehabilitation

Prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

Help for a behavioral health condition does not have to be provided in a hospital. People living with psychiatric disabilities can recover and live fulfilling lives in the community.

Adult Outpatient

adult-photoCo-Occurring Disorders Outpatient Program: Provides individual and group therapy to adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in the office and community settings. We utilize an integrated approach to treatment where both disorders are addressed simultaneously.

VICTORY (Veterans In Counseling To Obtain Recovery) Program: Designed to engage those involved with operations in Iraq or Afghanistan, including service members, veterans, family members and loved ones as soon as adjustment problems are recognized. Services are available before, during and after service deployment.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services

Henderson’s psychosocial rehabilitation programs utilize the Role Recovery Model to treat the symptoms of mental illness. The Role Recovery Model focuses all service planning and delivery on assisting persons served to develop the stability, confidence, knowledge, skills, and supports needed and wanted to successfully perform the day-to-day activities associated with the living, learning, working or socializing in the community roles they choose.

REAP (Recovery Employment And Prosperity) Program: An intensive psycho-educational, pre-employment program, REAP is designed to engage individuals with behavioral health disorders who are otherwise unable to access existing community resources to attain or maintain employment. Adult participants benefit from help and support in the areas of pre-employment preparation and financial skills training.

Specialized Programs for Older Adults with a Mental Illness

WIN (Wellness Initiative Network) Program: People with a severe mental illness live 25 years less than the average adult due to complications such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. The causes may be genetic, but more often, can be attributed to negative habits that adversely impact their lifespan. To reverse this, we have certified trainers work with individuals in the following areas: “Healthy Eating,” “Living Healthy with Chronic Conditions,” “Smoking Cessation,” and “Enhanced Fitness.”
