The psychiatrist/APRN has overall clinical responsibility for the client’s treatment and staff’s delivery of psychiatric and general medicine services. The psychiatrist/APRN is responsible and provides direct psychiatric and general practice of medical services including assessment and treatment through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and discharge planning for consumers; provide consultation, as needed to other mental health professionals by clinical supervision; education and training; and development, maintenance and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures. Additionally, the psychiatrist provides oversight to staff APRN as dictated in protocol. Services are provided in accordance with accepted standards of professional practice and policies and procedures of HBH while assuring that the unit operates within the guidelines established by the Agency for Health Care Administration, CARF, Department of Children and Families and in a manner that is consistent with HBH mission, vision, and values. Additionally, it ensures that facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws. This is a 100% direct service position that requires availability to work Monday thru Friday 8 to 5 pm. M.D. or D.O., Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice general medicine in the State of Florida. Valid DEA license. Maintain Florida state license in good standing. Four (4) years or more of ACGME approved psychiatry residency program successfully completed. Dual certified in Psychiatry and Family medicine preferred.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

The applicant will provide nursing services including but not limited to taking the medical history of patients and assisting the physician during the examination. In addition, the candidate will explain the medical procedures to the patient, call pharmacies for prescription, collect samples for lab testing, vital signs monitoring, preventive healthcare, disease specific goals, action plan, healthcare proxy, and health education and injections. Candidate should have a minimum of (1) one year experience heavily concentrated in the mental health field within the past (5) five-years, preferably. Work requires familiarity with procedures and policies relating to all aspects of nursing care. Additionally, experience in the mental health and substance abuse arena is preferred. Previous experience in discharge planning, utilization review, case management, or similar role desirable. Certified to give injections.

This position requires a master’s degree and licensed in the state of Florida as an LMHC, LCSW or LMFT. 16-hour State approved supervision course. At least five years working with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or cooccurring disorders in a rehabilitation setting. Some supervisory experience preferred. Experience and/or ability to work with electronic medical records is required. AHCA approved Mental Health Targeted Case Management Training, certification must be obtained within 180 days after hire. Currently, must obtain certification from the Florida Certification Board as a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager Supervisor (CBHCMS) within 15 months of hire. The position provides overall team leadership, direction, and accountability for quality clinical and case management services. Monitors, timely and accurate documentation of services and ensures services are provided through a multidisciplinary team person-centered approach. Responsibilities include clinical supervision, administrative oversight, fiscal responsibility and staff training. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
