The psychiatrist, in conjunction with the Centralized Receiving Center Clinical Supervisor and Centralized Receiving System Director, has overall clinical responsibility for the client’s treatment and staff’s delivery of clinical services. The psychiatrist is responsible and provides direct psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and discharge planning for consumers; provide consultation, as needed to other mental health professionals by clinical supervision; education and training; and development, maintenance and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures. Additionally, the CRS psychiatrist provides oversight to staff APRN as dictated in protocol. Services are provided in accordance with accepted standards of professional practice and policies and procedures of HBH while assuring that the unit operates within the guidelines established by the Agency for Health Care Administration, CARF, Department of Children and Families and in a manner that is consistent with HBH mission, vision and values. Additionally, assures that facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws. This is a 100% direct service position that requires availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends; as well as on-call duties. M.D. or D.O., Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida. Valid DEA license. Maintain Florida state license in good standing. Four (4) years or more of ACGME approved psychiatry residency program successfully completed.
Case Manager
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field. The candidate must have a minimum of one year experience working with adults in the mental health field as well as knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment, and community resources. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
Screener – Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
This position requires that the candidate possess at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in applicable human services degree should be available to work Weekend and Overnight shifts. The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a mental health related field, a registered nurse; or Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, mental health counseling, or related field. Applicant must have the ability to: work effectively with clients displaying a wide range of unpleasant and/or bizarre behaviors; communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds; work flexible hours as required by program and staffing needs, good assessment and communication skills, both written and verbal, knowledge of community resources. Experience with computer technology (using a computer & PC software to support activities; Windows based programs, e-mail, especially Microsoft Office applications, keyboarding skills, MFP) and other office tools efficiently in order to meet performance goals necessary to the position.
Clinician – Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT)
This position requires a Masters Degree in psychology, social work or other related social services degree and be licensed clinician in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, of LMFT). Preference of (2) two years of post-graduate practice, heavily concentrated in the mental health field work experience with severe and persistent mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services needs desired – (someone with a professional clinical license; or close to licensure considered). Work experience with individuals with co-occurring disorders as well as youth disorders and family system interventions. Experience preferred in assessment and crisis intervention. Ability to assess client’s in community based situations as part of Mobile Response Team. Ability to render appropriate diagnosis and action plan from assessment formulation. Ability to provide crisis intervention. Education, advocacy and support for Mobile Response callers. Ability to work in an electronic health record, providing timely documents. Ability to be flexible and functions as a reliable team member in a busy environment that requires rendering professional Crisis Response services to various clientele. Knowledge of community resources work with Law Enforcement, Courts and other constituent organizations. Working crisis call-in phone lines, ability to work the hours and weekends. Meet the requirements of all applicable federal, state and organizational background checks which include a level II background screening, because Henderson Behavioral Health serves a vulnerable population. Be receptive to supervision and professional development. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
Residential Licensed Practical Nurse (PT & PD)
This position requires that the candidate be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida with a clear/active Florida state license in good standing. One year experience heavily concentrated in the mental health field. Work experience with adults with mental illnesses. Candidate should have excellent and written communication. Candidate should also be ale to write with remarkable clarity and consistency and display flexibility in adapting to changing conditions. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
Behavioral Health Technician
This position requires a minimum High School diploma or equivalent; bachelors preferred. The candidate should have experience working with: the adult population (with mental illness and/or substance use) in a residential setting; as well as the forensic population. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the behavioral health technician provides clinical support services including supportive counseling, crisis intervention and works as part of a team to ensure a safe, supportive environment to adults experiencing situational or psychiatric crisis; with wide range of emotional disorders, and/or substance use problems. Interacts with clients and assists them with activities of daily living, social recreation, & program activities. Supervises clients during meals & snacks, maintains client and unit safety, monitors client behavior, and assists with admission and discharge process.
