This position requires a master’s degree in the Behavioral Health Science field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Licensed in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT). Minimum two (2) years related work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or co-occurring disorders. Two (2) years of supervisory experience strongly desired. This position supervises and coordinates multidisciplinary staff in the provision of behavioral health services which includes admissions, discharge and service provision. Has frequent interaction with Court staff, residential representatives, Henderson staff, referral sources and other individuals that are part of the clients treatment team. Meets regularly with staff and conducts daily meetings. This position reports to the Director of Community Support CRS. Valid drivers license and auto insurance required.
Peer Support Specialist – Family Intensive Treatment Team (FITT)
FITT Peer Support Specialist provides peer coaching & support service to help parents who are at risk of or have had their child(ren) removed due to their substance misuse. They work together as a team with a therapist & case manager to promote the parent’s recovery and assist them in working toward their dependency case plan goals for reunification or to maintain their child(ren) in home. FITT Peers use their lived experience & skills learned to help others achieve & maintain recovery and wellness from substance use while also improving their parenting skills or caregiver protective capacities. HS diploma or GED required and MUST have personal lived experience as either: an adult in recovery for a minimum of 2 years from a mental health and/or substance use condition or a family member or caregiver to another person who is living with a mental health and/or substance use condition. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
Psychiatrist
The psychiatrist has overall clinical responsibility for the client’s treatment and staff’s delivery of clinical services. The psychiatrist is responsible and provides direct psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and discharge planning for consumers; provide consultation, as needed to other mental health professionals by clinical supervision; education and training; and development, maintenance and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures. Additionally, the psychiatrist provides oversight to staff APRN as dictated in protocol. Services are provided in accordance with accepted standards of professional practice and policies and procedures of HBH while assuring that the unit operates within the guidelines established by the Agency for Health Care Administration, CARF, Department of Children and Families and in a manner that is consistent with HBH mission, vision, and values. Additionally, assures that facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws. This is a 100% direct service position that requires availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends; as well as on-call duties. M.D. or D.O., Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida. Valid DEA license. Maintain Florida state license in good standing. Four (4) years or more of ACGME approved psychiatry residency program successfully completed.
Licensed Therapist
Minimum of master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, mental health counseling, or related field. Licensed in the state of FL. LCSW, LMHC, LMFT preferred. This position requires a minimum of one year experience working with chronically mentally ill youth population as well as solid knowledge of recovery processes. The candidate should also have the ability to conduct individual and conjoint therapy. Successful candidate should possess good communication and writing skills and have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team approach. Successful candidate will need to be resourceful and adaptable as a therapist, have knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
Therapy Supervisor
This position requires the candidate to possess a Minimum of a master’s degree in a human service-related field and to be licensed in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT). Minimum two (2) years related work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting. Some supervisory experience preferred. Experience and/or ability to work with electronic medical records is required. Have working knowledge of the American Psychological Association’s current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, mental illness, its etiology, and its treatment; of human behavior and of supportive counseling and active listening techniques; the principles and practices of mental health counseling and crisis intervention; of behavioral management; experience with Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, CBT; the Florida Mental Health Act, and local resources. Considerable Knowledge of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses as well as signs and symptoms of substance abuse issues. Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) a plus, but not required.
Residential Specialists (Forensics PT & PD, Rainbow FT & PT, Parkside – Bilingual / Spanish preferred)
This position requires a minimum High School diploma or equivalent; bachelors preferred. The candidate should have experience working with the adult population (with mental illness) in a residential setting. Experience working with individuals having a substance use disorder is desirable. Experience working with the forensic population is desire. Good interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to be flexible regarding work hours and duties. Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word and Outlook required. Valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
Housing Peer Mentor
The position requires a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent. Some college preferred. Experience in recovery from mental illness or substance abuse. Previous experience of homelessness is preferred. Position provides peer support services to clients served by Henderson’s Residential Treatment Facilities. All work will be informed by the core principles of the evidence-based practice Housing First, which is a recovery-oriented approach that centers on quickly moving people into independent and permanent housing and then providing additional supports and services as needed. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required. Candidates MUST have experience in recovery themselves from mental illness or substance abuse.

This position requires the candidate possess a Minimum of a Master’s degree in a human services related field and licensed in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT). Candidate should have experience in a clinical setting, preferably in the field of crisis. Candidate will provide crisis assessments, screening/referrals, and engage individuals who are experiencing acute or chronic psychiatric disorders. Works along with the treatment team to stabilize individuals and make recommendations for ongoing services/placement. Continually assess clients’ progress and monitors until placement/further treatment is established. Develops initial plan in consult with treatment team. Provides services consistent with and as defined in Chapter 394, Florida’s Mental health ACT (aka The Baker ACT). This position frequently interacts with other multiple multi-layered systems and protocols. They work collaboratively with other professionals throughout the organization and aid in data collection and reporting. This position is office based with flexible part-time schedule (evenings with weekend and overnight shifts).
