The position requires a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent. Some college preferred. Experience in recovery from mental illness or substance abuse. Previous experience of homelessness is preferred. Position provides peer support services to clients served by Henderson’s Residential Treatment Facilities. All work will be informed by the core principles of the evidence-based practice Housing First, which is a recovery-oriented approach that centers on quickly moving people into independent and permanent housing and then providing additional supports and services as needed. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
