Assessment Clinician

This service is designed to meet the specific behavioral health needs of those seeking services. The assessment clinician provides assessments for new and existing participants. Services are provided with a recovery-oriented system of care approach and are delivered through intensive time-limited, goal specific interventions. The assessment clinician provides the following services consistent with HBH’s policies and or are defined in Chapter 394, Florida’s Mental Health Act (aka The Baker Act): triage services, thorough participants with primary or secondary mental health problems (who may also have substance abuse and chemical dependence problems, disabilities, psychosocial, or medical problems) and all associated paperwork. The incumbent may provide other outpatient services, such a psychoeducation and therapy which have different procedural standards, but for which competent clinical skills and high standards will be used. The incumbent procures the authorizations for treatment and maintains them. Work is performed in a professional fast-paces environment. Candidate is required to have a minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education or related field. Licensed in the state of Florida, as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred.
