Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (January 31, 2024) Henderson Behavioral Health is proud to announce that CARF, a national behavioral health accreditation organization, has awarded Henderson accreditation for our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), making Henderson the second ever accredited CCBHC in the nation.
Henderson was one of the first 4 organizations in Florida to receive a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) grant in 2020 to become a CCBHC.
Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics are organizations that ensure access to quality comprehensive evidenced-based behavioral health care including 24/7 crisis services, screening, assessment, diagnosis and risk assessment, treatment planning, outpatient behavioral health care, case management, primary care screening and monitoring, psychiatric rehabilitation services, peer recovery support, care coordination, and services for veterans. CCBHCs serve anyone who requests care for mental health or substance use, regardless of their ability to pay, place of residence, or age. There are currently over 500 CCBHCs across the United States.
“Henderson Behavioral Health is honored to continue to collaborate with CARF on another accreditation effort as a CCBHC. We recognize the importance of a peer-review survey process and its impact on behavioral healthcare. Additionally, having been a CARF accredited organization for 32 years, as we maintain a culture devoted to continuous improvement and strive to exceed expectations of the individuals we serve. We will continue to transform behavioral healthcare with this most recent designation,” said Dr. Steven Ronik, Henderson CEO.
