Medical Director

Henderson Behavioral Health, a nationally recognized leader in behavioral healthcare is seeking a Medical Director. The Medical Director is a senior leadership position, responsible for medical staff leadership, recruitment, training, supervision, and provision of quality clinical care. The ideal candidate will be a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with the following experience and attributes: leadership of healthcare teams, ability to work with all levels of staff, excellent verbal and written communication, outstanding clinical experience and training, knowledge of varying reimbursement models including value-based care, and an openness and curiosity around technology and its role in service provision. Henderson Behavioral Health, celebrating its 70th year of operations, is a multi-sited, private, non-profit behavioral health system. Headquarters are in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area, with locations throughout Broward County, Palm Beach County, and the Treasure Coast.

Licensed Clinicians Centralized Receiving Center (CRC) (FT, PT, PD)

This position requires the candidate possess a Minimum of a Master’s degree in a human services related field and licensed in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT). Candidate should have experience in a clinical setting, preferably in the field of crisis. Candidate will provide crisis assessments, screening/referrals, and engage individuals who are experiencing acute or chronic psychiatric disorders. Works along with the treatment team to stabilize individuals and make recommendations for ongoing services/placement. Continually assess clients’ progress and monitors until placement/further treatment is established. Develops initial plan in consult with treatment team. Provides services consistent with and as defined in Chapter 394, Florida’s Mental health ACT (aka The Baker ACT). This position frequently interacts with other multiple multi-layered systems and protocols. They work collaboratively with other professionals throughout the organization and aid in data collection and reporting. This position is office based with flexible part-time schedule (evenings with weekend and overnight shifts).

Case Manager

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field. The candidate must have a minimum of one year experience working with adults in the mental health field as well as knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment, and community resources. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.

Clinician – Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT)

This position requires a Masters Degree in psychology, social work or other related social services degree and be licensed clinician in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, of LMFT). Preference of (2) two years of post-graduate practice, heavily concentrated in the mental health field work experience with severe and persistent mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services needs desired – (someone with a professional clinical license; or close to licensure considered). Work experience with individuals with co-occurring disorders as well as youth disorders and family system interventions. Experience preferred in assessment and crisis intervention. Ability to assess client’s in community based situations as part of Mobile Response Team. Ability to render appropriate diagnosis and action plan from assessment formulation. Ability to provide crisis intervention. Education, advocacy and support for Mobile Response callers. Ability to work in an electronic health record, providing timely documents. Ability to be flexible and functions as a reliable team member in a busy environment that requires rendering professional Crisis Response services to various clientele. Knowledge of community resources work with Law Enforcement, Courts and other constituent organizations. Working crisis call-in phone lines, ability to work the hours and weekends. Meet the requirements of all applicable federal, state and organizational background checks which include a level II background screening, because Henderson Behavioral Health serves a vulnerable population. Be receptive to supervision and professional development. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
