This support member is responsible for varying non-clinical tasks of the CSU, providing receptionist activities including triaging calls, coordinating communication between the Mobile Crisis Response Team. Assisting clients, their families and agencies to get answers to questions, maintaining and coordinating the management information system. Client Support Specialists collect organize and manage health information data, enter it for reference and categorizing information for insurance reimbursement purposes, to maintain patients’ medical and treatment histories; and ensure the security of electronic health records. They ensure its quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security in both paper and electronic systems. They use computer applications to assemble and analyze health information. They use computerized systems to become competent in information/data management and registration individuals. Preferably a minimum of 2 years working in an office setting with primary focus in medical office procedures. Knowledge of general office equipment; Windows, Word, and Excel helpful and desired. Work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services needs desired. High School Diploma or equivalent; with basic clerical and communication principles.
