Accounts Payable Specialist

This position requires an associate degree or bachelor’s Degree Preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent acceptable. The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform all tasks related to the weekly disbursement of Accounts Payable Checks. Perform all tasks related to the General Ledger Activity for Accounts Payable and Subsidiary/Related Accounts. Prepare annual 1099 and fulfill other ITS Requirements. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. Has frequent contact with vendors, department supervisors, Branch Administrators and Senior Management Staff. Experience in the use of a calculator, PC for Micro Word Processing, and proficiency in Excel. Minimum 2 years clerical/book-keeping experience. Experience working in an Accounting or Financial environment, and with an electronic General ledger System. Good office skills. Must possess good organizational as well as excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work well with all levels of management and peers.
