Registered Nurse – Florida Assertive Community Team (FACT)

This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license and may require a master’s, bachelor’s, or associate degree in nursing. Work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services or other applicable experience, familiarity with the various resources within the local community, Awareness of the concept of individual service planning, and should have at least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting. This member of the FACT multidisciplinary team is responsible for conducting nursing assessments; assessing physical health needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist; providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation and support services; and sharing shift-management responsibility with other staff. Work in conjunction with Psychiatrist/APRN’s to provide oversight and direction to LPN’s. Ensure that the program operates within the guidelines established by CARF, the Department of Children and Families and Henderson Behavioral Health, Inc. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and proof of appropriate insurance coverage.
