The position requires a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent. Some college preferred. Experience in recovery from mental illness or substance abuse. Previous experience of homelessness is preferred. Knowledge of 12 Step Recovery programs a plus. Position provides peer support services to clients served by Henderson’s Residential Treatment Facilities. The peer support specialist will work on helping clients move into transitional or permanent housing and then provide additional support and services as needed. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
