This position functions as a core member of a collaborative 1st Episode Program whose interventions and treatment are focused on helping individuals navigate the road to recovery from an initial episode of psychosis, including supporting efforts to function well at home, on the job, at school, and in the social world. Provides direct care for individuals participating in the 1st Episode Program Supported Employment & Education component, including job coaching, skills training, assessment, counseling, intervention and advocacy.This position requires that the candidate possess a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services or related field. Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, mental health counseling, or related field preferred. Preference of (2) two years of post-graduate practice, heavily concentrated in the mental health field, work experience working with both young adults and adults with mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human –services needs desired. Additionally, experience in the substance abuse arena is preferred. Experience with computer technology (using a computer & PC software to support activities; Windows based programs, e-mail, especially Microsoft Office applications, keyboarding skills, MFP) and other office tools efficiently in order to meet performance goals necessary to the position. Valid Florida drivers license and auto insurance coverage of $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 are required.
