The PUP-Homebuilders Therapist will utilize the Homebuilders best practice model to prevent out-of-home placement of children (ages 1-17) who have been determined by BSO/CPIS to be at imminent risk of removal from their home, relative caregiver and/or foster home, due to abuse, neglect or other reasons (emotional, behavioral problems). The program is designed to keep children safe while helping the family reach a level of functioning at which it is possible for their children to remain safely at home. The candidate should have a masters degree in the human services field or a bachelors degree in human services field with five (5) years experience. Candidate requires a minimum of one (1) year experience with children and families. Candidate should be able to demonstrate good writing and organizational skills, strong knowledge of community resources, and good interpersonal skills and be culturally sensitive. Candidate must also possess a valid Florida driver’s license and be able to provide proof of appropriate automobile insurance coverage in the minimum amount of at least $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 for liability limits.
