The placement partnership program coordinator responds to the urgent need to support foster care youth’s preservation of their foster care placement and re-entry into the community from psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment center, and detention centers. The position requires a master’s degree in a human service related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience working with at risk children in Broward County. In Lieu of a master’s degree, the coordinator will minimally possess a bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years’ experience working with at risk children. Crisis intervention, family dynamics, childhood/adolescent development, community providers and resource network, DSM IV. Candidate should also have public speaking skills, good verbal and written skills, good interpersonal skills, and good organizational skills. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
