The placement partnership program coordinator responds to the urgent need to support foster care youth’s preservation of their foster care placement and re-entry into the community from psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment center, and detention centers. The position requires a master’s degree in a human service related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience working with at risk children in Broward County. In Lieu of a master’s degree, the coordinator will minimally possess a bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years’ experience working with at risk children. Crisis intervention, family dynamics, childhood/adolescent development, community providers and resource network, DSM IV. Candidate should also have public speaking skills, good verbal and written skills, good interpersonal skills, and good organizational skills. Valid Florida driver’s license and auto insurance of $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 are required.
