The position requires candidate have a Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy or other applicable counseling degree. Applicant must also have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. Knowledge of DSM 5, theories and practices related to therapy, family dynamics, child development, community resources, and knowledge of DCF and court system is preferable. Candidate must have good clinical judgment and decision-making skills. The MST Therapist provides therapeutic services to children and families. The therapist will work collaboratively with DCF, DJJ, Palm Beach County Schools, in achieving objectives for children and their families. The therapist will provide individual, family and group therapy and assess overall well-being of children and their family unit.
