Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program Certified Peer Recovery Coach

This position requires a High School diploma or GED. Candidate should have personal lived experience with mental illness and substance use preferred. Certified as a Peer Specialist or the ability to become certified within six (6) months of employment. Knowledge of Medicated Assisted Treatment protocol. The Recovery Specialist will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Recovery Specialist must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships. The Peer Specialist is an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and provides peer support services; whose interventions and treatment are focused on helping individuals navigate the road to recovery, including supporting efforts to function well at home, on the job, at school, and in the social world. Participates in the provision of rehabilitative services to those we serve by providing practical help and supports, advocacy, coordination, side-by-side individualized support, problem solving, direct assistance, and training. This is a 90% direct service position that could require availability to work irregular hours, including evenings.
