As a member of the Medical Department, the Licensed Practical Nurse, in conjunction with the Prescriber, administers treatment and medications to individuals; refers for physical exams and other physical problems; records medication orders; writes progress notes; makes/returns telephone calls; reports to doctor regarding physical problems; assesses individuals; secures medication authorizations and applies for patient assistance when required, teaches individuals,; ensures compliance with the Nurse Practice Act; provides emergency medical services. This position requires that the candidate be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida with clear/active Florida state license in good standing. One year experience heavily concentrated in the mental health field. Work experience with adults with mental illnesses. Candidate should have excellent and written communication. Candidate should also be able to write with remarkable clarity and consistency and display flexibility in adapting to changing conditions.
