This position requires a High School degree or equivalent; Bachelors is preferred. The candidate must have a Certification as a Recovery Peer Specialist by the State of Florida, or be in the process of obtaining this certification. A certified Recovery Peer Specialist is a person who uses life experiences to assist others to achieve and maintain recovery from substance use and / or mental health conditions, and assists with navigating the integrated health care system. To qualify for Certification, the person must have experience as a recipient of behavioral health services, and have 40 hours of training in Advocacy, Mentoring, Recovery Support, and Professional Responsibility. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto insurance coverage of $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 are required.
