This position requires the paraprofessional mental health worker have a High School degree and is in recovery from a mental illness or substance use issue. Must have a strong commitment to serving individuals with a severe and persistent mental illness and assist individuals in their recovery. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment is required. Skills and competence to establish supportive relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for person served rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential. The ability to work effectively with a computer and with an electronic health record is also necessary. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
