Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida. License should be clear/active and maintained in good standing. Candidate should have work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services or other applicable experience and should have at least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting. Candidate should have familiarity with the various resources within the local community. Awareness of the concept of individual service planning. Demonstrated knowledge of 10E-15 Florida Administrative Code. Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work in market jobs; and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services. The RN will be responsible for a client case load and will be required to provide case management services to include writing treatment plants. The RN, occasionally goes into the community to provide nursing services, administer injectables and medications, and provide nutrition and diabetic teaching and assistance to clients. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating medical appointments, getting prior authorizations for medications, and utilizing the Pharmacy electronic system (Order Connect) and other pharmacies to order psychiatric and medical medications. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto insurance coverage of $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 are required.
