Financial Service Specialist

This position requires that the candidate possess a High School Diploma. The candidate must possess experience in verification and billing of Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as processing claim rejections, re-billing, voiding and adjustments in a behavioral health care setting. Candidate should possess the ability to conceptualize the process from entry of the insurance through the entry of services and the correlation to billing. Experience with both clearing house and portal verifications is required. In addition, candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of medical services coding ICD-10 and CPT coding is required. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel. a minimum of two years experience in medical/mental health office practice. Experience working with persons with disabilities, preferable homeless individuals with a serious mental health diagnosis. Also, candidate should have a high level of interpersonal relation skills (verbal and written) required. Strong computer literacy in all Microsoft Office software. Be a strong team player. The position will require youth and family client contact experience for intake completion. Candidate should be able to display flexibility in adapting to changing conditions. Human Services field experience preferred.
