In conjunction with the Director of Acute Care Services, oversees operation of various contracts. Responsibilities include providing guidance and leadership to clinicians, case manager, students and volunteers, and support staff of the programs. Assisting in designing and developing program services which include, planning, budgeting, organizing, and directing all services. Candidate should have a minimum of a master’s degree in mental health counseling, counseling education, psychology, social work or related field, license preferred. Candidate should have a minimum of (5) years of post-graduated practice, heavily concentrated in the mental field; 2 years of some sort of supervisory experience desired. Experience in a human service-related field that has required working with groups or families can provide valuable practice. Also experience in a similar clinical environment setting along with case management or advocacy will assist with the practice of meeting the needs of the targeted population. Knowledgeable about The American Psychological Association’s current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, the principles and practices of mental health counseling and crisis intervention, the Florida Mental Health Act, local resources, signs and symptoms of substance abuse and basic psychotropic medications. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
