Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services or related field. Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, mental health counseling, or related field; preferred. Preference of (1) one year experience heavily concentrated in the mental health field, public relations, community liaison, outreach, or direct client care. This individual functions as a member of a collaborative Early Treatment Program whose interventions and treatment are focused on helping individuals navigate the road to recovery from an episode of psychosis, including supporting efforts to function well at home, on the job, at school, and in the social world. This position is designated to serve as a bridge between the Early Treatment Program (ETP) and the community. This position is responsible for working closely and under the direction of the Early Treatment Program Supervisor to educate the community on ETP services, to establish, maintain and promote effective and positive relationships with referral sources and the community and to ensure community partners are referring people in their first episode of psychosis to HBH for treatment. The Community Liaison hosts and/or attends regular community meetings and represents the Early Treatment Program, and Henderson Behavioral Health in a vast variety of forums and delivers presentations in various community settings including, but not limited to, schools, churches, community events, organizations, physician practices and hospital groups, courts, and conferences. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
