Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services or related field. Masters Degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, mental health counseling, or related field; preferred. Certification in Case Management (Person-to-Person) preferred; or must obtain within 6 months. Preferably a minimum of (1) year experience heavily concentrated in the mental health field. Work experience with young adults with mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services needs as an organization case manager desired. Additionally, experience in the mental health and/or substance abuse arena is preferred. Previous experience in discharge planning, utilization review, case management, or similar role tasks desirable. Function as a core member of a collaborative multi-disciplinary 1st Episode Program whose interventions and treatment are focused on helping individuals navigate the road to recovery from an episode of psychosis, including supporting efforts to function well at home, on the job, at school, and in the social world. Performs comprehensive care management functions with the primary focus on linkage for individuals to community-based services and resources. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
