This position requires that the candidate be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida with a clear/active Florida state license in good standing. One-year experience heavily concentrated in the behavioral health field preferred. Candidate will serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team, screen new clients; administers prescribed medications and treatments, including injections, and documents in medical record. Demonstrates correct medication pass techniques, checks appropriate vital signs; chart action/reaction to treatments according to standards; assesses person served. Candidate will also be responsible to refer for physical exams and other physical problems; records medication orders; writes progress notes; makes telephone calls; reports to doctor regarding physical problems; ensures compliance with the Nurse Practice Act; provides emergency medical services and assists with data collection. This position may require the ability to work irregular hours.
