Henderson Behavioral Health is partnering with Kids Wish Network to grant wishes to children who have faced adversity in their young lives.


Kids Wish Network is an international charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children having experienced life-altering situations. Henderson Behavioral Health’s August 2014 "Hero of the Month"

Justin came to Henderson when he was 15 years old.  His relationship with family members and others has been tumultuous.  Justin has implemented meditation and exercise to cope with his challenges.  He attends school regularly, enjoys fishing and drawing and hopes to attend art school upon graduating from high school.

Thiago is a 14 year old boy who came to Henderson in December, 2013 and was disruptive in school and home. Thiago has turned his life around by doing better in school, behaving better at home, communicating more openly with his family and has taken more responsibility for his actions.  Thiago is an avid skate boarder and has participated in many competitions.

Akeem has lived in one of Henderson’s group homes since 2012.   When he came to us he had anger and trust issues. Since being placed with Henderson, Akeem has developed great coping skills and uses humor when facing stressful situations. Akeem plans to attend college and enjoys playing basketball where he demonstrates great sportsmanship.

Henderson Behavioral Health’s November "Hero of the Month"

West was placed in the foster care system when he was 6 years old, but was then adopted by his grandmother until she passed away. West came to Henderson’s CHARLEE House, a group home for boys upon his 11th birthday. West is exceptionally bright and joined the JROTC in high school. With his great sense of humor, West is mature beyond his years. He has learned to overcome his adversities and is a caring, considerate young man who serves as a mentor to new youth moving into CHARLEE House.

Frekeria recently celebrated her 10th birthday. Her smile lights up a room and her friendly personality is infectious. Frekeria is a hard-working student who is dedicated to her school work and makes friends everywhere she goes. Frekeria prides herself on being a wonderful big sister to her 3 year old brother. Frekeria is our “hero” because despite her life’s challenges, she is a loving, caring young lady who is an inspiration to all who meet her.
